Moldovans are very hospitable and welcoming to guests, and one of their most famous traditions when welcoming new guests involves a special bread that they bake and present to the guest with a small dish of salt in the middle. The guest takes a piece of the bread, dips it in the salt and eats it. Here my host mom is presenting me with the bread.
